I need to scan using my Deskjet F4480 All-in-One printer, but I cannot find the driver for this.
On the "Software and Drivers" page for this printer, there is no driver listed for it. It simply states "Install the HP Printer Driver and Software provided within your operating system." but my operating system (Windows 11) is unable to find a driver for this printer.
HP Smart lists my printer as offline.
HP Print and Scan Doctor recognizes that my printer is connected and sends me back to the "Software and Drivers" page for the printer so I'm stuck in a loop of never finding this driver.
Please provide an option to download the driver for this all-in-one printer so I can finally scan my documents.

Hi @chrysfm,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To resolve the issue of finding and installing the driver for your HP Deskjet F4480 All-in-One printer on Windows 11, you can try the following steps:
Option 1: Use Windows Update to Find the Driver
- Connect the Printer: Make sure your printer is connected to your computer via USB.
- Open Device Manager:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Update Driver:
- Find your printer under Printers or Unknown devices.
- Right-click on the printer and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software. Windows should search for the driver online and install it.
Option 2: Use HP Easy Start
- Download HP Easy Start:
- Visit the HP Easy Start download page (ensure it's the correct page for your printer model).
- Download and run the HP Easy Start utility. This tool will automatically detect your printer and install the necessary software and drivers.
Option 3: Manually Install a Compatible Driver
If the HP Easy Start does not find a driver, you can try manually installing a compatible driver.
Download a Compatible Driver:
- Go to the HP Deskjet F4480 drivers page.
- Download the Windows 8 or Windows 10 driver (whichever is available).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
