@yusuftm, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Rolling back firmware on HP printers like the HP OfficeJet 8022 can be a bit challenging, especially if the printer status indicates it is busy. Here are some general steps you may proceed with:

Verify Printer Status: Ensure the printer is not handling any other tasks. Cancel any ongoing print jobs from the printer’s control panel or from your computer.

Restart Your Printer: Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source for at least a minute before plugging it back in and turning it on. This can clear any temporary statuses indicating that the printer is busy.

Access HP Print and Scan Doctor: Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows tool, which is designed to help troubleshoot printing issues and ensure the printer’s connectivity is intact.

Check for Official HP Firmware Downgrade: It's important to verify if HP officially supports rolling back firmware on your printer model. Sometimes manufacturers do not provide utilities for downgrading firmware due to compatibility and security reasons.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
