Hi @paulsearle,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating that your HP 3202 printer keeps going offline. Here are some steps you can try to keep it connected.

Check Power Saving Settings:

  • Make sure that any power-saving features on the printer are disabled.

Set a Static IP Address:

  • Assign a static IP to the printer via the printer settings or your router's settings. This can help maintain a stable connection.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer firmware is up to date.

Adjust Printer Settings:

  • Go to the printer properties on your computer and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" under the power management tab.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your router and your computer along with the printer to refresh the network connection.

Use a Different Wi-Fi Band:

  • If your router supports dual bands, try connecting the printer to the 2.4GHz band, which is more stable for devices like printers.

Reinstall the Printer Drivers:

  • Sometimes reinstalling the drivers can resolve connectivity issues.

Disable SNMP:

  • In the printer properties on your computer, navigate to the Ports tab, click on "Configure Port," and uncheck "SNMP Status Enabled."

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
