Hi @CamoPops,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can imagine how frustrating it must be to see a blank HP screen when trying to print PDFs especially when everything else seems to be working fine. Let’s walk through a solution that’s both practical and empathetic to your situation.

What’s Happening?

When you try to print a PDF file from your HP Pavilion Laptop (15-eg1000) running Windows 11, the system redirects to a white HP screen this is often caused by:

  • A conflict between the HP app and the default PDF viewer
  • A corrupted or outdated Adobe Reader installation
  • Windows 11’s default PDF handler not being properly set

Steps to Fix the Issue

1. Reinstall Adobe Acrobat Reader

Even if it’s already installed, reinstalling ensures you have the latest version and clears any corrupt settings.

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
  • Uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Restart your laptop
  • Download the latest version from Adobe’s official site
  • Try printing a PDF again

2. Set Adobe Reader as the Default PDF Viewer

Windows might be using Edge or another app that conflicts with HP Smart.

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps
  • Type PDF in the search bar
  • Set Adobe Acrobat Reader as the default app for .pdf files

3. Print PDF as an Image

This bypasses rendering issues that cause blank screens.

  • Open the PDF in Adobe Reader
  • Click File > Print
  • In the Print dialog, click Advanced
  • Check Print as Image
  • Click OK, then Print

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
