Hello,
I just recently upgraded my mac OS to bigsur version 11.1. When I tried installing driver using HP Easy Start, it couldn't find the driver. Please see the attached screen shot:
HP Easy Start It did find the printer
It found the printer
but it failed to find the driver
but it couldn't find the driver
then it redirected me to the hp website, but the hp website couldn't locate my os
it redirected me to HP server but still couldn't find the driver
when I select manually, there is no option for MacOS Big Sur 11.1
when I chose manually, there was no macos 11.1
As you can see from the screen shot, there is no option for choosing version 11.1
Since Big Sur has been updated for almost 2 months now, when can we expect HP to create driver for version 11.1?
Thank you

Hi @m181fw_pro,
I'd like to help!
Try updating mac and printer firmware
To update the printer's firmware, refer - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
To update Mac, try these steps - How to update the software on your Mac
Uninstall HP Easy Start
- Click on the Spotlight icon and type HP Uninstaller or by opening HP Easy Start.
- Click on Continue to uninstall the software.
- When prompted for password, type in your system password
- You can also uninstall by opening HP Easy Start.
Download HP Easy Start and install the printer.
- Download HP Easy Start and follow the on-screen to complete the installation.
You can also install the HP Smart App and print and scan using the app.
You may also add the AirPrint printer to the Mac printer queue
Add the Air Print printer to the Mac printer queue
Confirm you are using Air Print by adding the printer in System Preferences.
- Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
- Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, and then do one of the following steps.
- If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm it is set up for Air Print. Click the printer name, click the minus sign "-" to delete the printer, click the plus sign "+"click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name and then continue to the next step.
- If your printer is not listed, click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer, and then continue to the next step.
- Confirm Air Print or Secure Air Print displays in the Use or Print Using menu, and then click Add.
- Open a document or photo, click File, and then click Print.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Jay,
Thanks for responding
I've tried your suggestion but I couldn't find any firmware. I couldn't even install HP Easy Start https://support.hp.com/id-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-easy-start/7376041 because HP still hasn't supported mac os version 11.1 (see below)
So back to my question, when can HP publish a software that support MacOS version 11.1?
if you don't know the date. Can you please tell the software engineering department to start working on the driver? It's been 2 months since MacOS 11.1 is published. We have MacOS 11.2 now and I'm reluctant to update because HP doesn't have driver yet.

Yes, the drivers are not available for big sur 11.1.
I have no update on when drivers will be released, but I am aware that our team is working on it.
Have you tried to add the Airprint printer?
Let me know!
