The user manual for my printer states that it can save scans as a searchable PDF, but when I attempt to scan through the HP Smart app, I find no option for this; only basic PDF or image is available. Attached are screenshots from the video guide for the HP Smart app, showing the options, as well as a screenshot of my available options. Any help is appreciated.

Can you download and install the HP FULL Solution Software for your operating system:

Download and install FULL featured software
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8dSpWOdRZM
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
The scan to searchable PDF option is there under "Destination".
