Hi @3005retired,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Envy Photo 6255 prints from your phone but not from your laptop. Let’s go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

Check Printer Connection

Ensure your laptop is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers and confirm the printer appears online.

Set Printer as Default

In Devices and Printers, right-click your HP Envy 6255 → Set as default printer.

Restart Print Spooler

Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

Find Print Spooler, right-click → Restart.

Update or Reinstall Printer Driver

Go to HP Smart App or HP Support website.

Download the latest driver/software for your laptop’s OS.

Uninstall any old drivers before reinstalling.

Check Printer Status & Queue

In Devices and Printers, double-click the printer.

Clear any stuck print jobs in the queue.

Run Windows Troubleshooter

Go to Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters → Printer.

Follow the prompts to detect and fix issues.

Firewall/Antivirus Check

Sometimes firewall or antivirus software blocks printer communication.

Temporarily disable them and try printing.

I hope this helps.
