Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!
- How is the printer connected? Wired(USB/Ethernet) or Wireless?
- Do you get any error while printing from Office XP or photoshop?
Let's try uninstalling and re-installing the printer driver. This may fix the issue.
- In Windows, search for 'Control Panel' and open 'Programs' or 'Programs and features' and select 'Uninstall a Program'.
- Select your HP Printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for 'Control Panel' and look for 'View devices and printers'option under 'Hardware and Sound'.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'.
- Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
- Click on the "Drivers" tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select Ok.
- Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
- Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
- Restart the computer.
- Download the printer driver and install it from this link or manually search for the driver from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/printers
- Open the downloaded file, follow onscreen instructions and complete installation
- Try printing

Printer is wireless. I have removed and reinstalled printer and software numerous times and followed previous posted instructions same as yours. This problem is a direct cause of a Windows 10 update. Microsoft has the same protocol listed for removing and reinstalling a printer. Also the software download file no longer exists for downloading I guess I'll have to wait on A fix from Microsoft

You can try these:
- You can try updating Office XP photoshop applications and check if there are any updates available.
- Also, check if there are any windows updates available.
- Try adding the printer using a TCP/IP port
- Obtain the IP address of the printer by touching the wireless icon
on the printer control panel.
- Go to Windows Start and search for 'Control Panel'
- Under Control Panel, go to > Devices and Printers (under Hardware and Sound)
- Delete the existing printers. (Right click on the printer icon > Remove Device)
- Click on 'Add a Printer' at the top.
- In the following dialogue box, select 'The printer that I want isn't listed'
- Select Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname.
- Enter the IP address of the printer
- Click next, follow the on-screen instructions to complete adding the printer.
- Obtain the IP address of the printer by touching the wireless icon
- Try printing again.
Let me know if this works.

i get error when trying to print from excel.
Your file could not be printed due to an error on HP Envy 6200 on Ne00: There are several possibilie reasons:
There may not enough memory available. Try closing files and programs you weren't using.
If you use a network for printing, there may be a problem with the network connection or the printer driver.
There may be a loose cable or bad connection between your computer and printer.
Word does not print and no documents lidted in print queue. Wordpad, notepad, web docements. printshop 23, MS Publisher XP all ptrint fine. Adobe acrobat DC and Photoshop 9.0 will not print
When I try to do a test print I get error: Test page failed. Would you like to view the print troubleshooter for assistance?

- Is there any error on the printer screen?
- Are there any lights flashing on the printer?
Let's try these Steps:
Step 1: Restart the Router, Printer, and PC
- Turn off the Router, wait for 60 seconds and turn it back on.
- Turn off the Printer, wait for 60 seconds and turn it back on.
- Restart the PC
Step 2: Try running the PING test to check the connectivity
- Obtain the IP address of the printer by touching the wireless icon
on the printer.
- Click the Search icon (magnifying glass) in the bottom left-hand corner and type "cmd" into the search bar.
- Select the Command Prompt app - it will be at the top of the list of search results as the best match.
- A black box with a flashing cursor will open; this is the Command Prompt. Type “ping” and then hit the Space bar on your keyboard.
- Type the IP address of the printer and hit Enter key
- Share the results here.
Also, try printing from the Printer's EWS page.
- Obtain the IP address of the printer by touching the wireless icon
on the printer.
- Open a Web browser.
- Type the printer’s IP address into the Internet browser address line, and then press Enter to open the printer EWS.
- If a website security certificate displays, click Continue to access the EWS page
- Go to the 'Tools' menu and select Print Self test page
- Check if that prints
Let me know what happens
