While trying to set up the HP Ink Tank Wireless 419 to my macbook air, at one stage it has a message 'hp easy start is trying to change your print settings. type an administrator's name and password to allow this.'
I tried using admin as user id and password but it's not working. What is the admin name and p/w for this?

Hi @PareshMaheshwar,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the message you're seeing is macOS asking for your Mac administrator username and password, not an HP-specific username and password. This is required for HP Easy Start to make changes to your system, such as configuring printer settings.
Here’s what you can do:
Administrator Username and Password: Enter the username and password that you use to log into your MacBook Air (the one with administrative privileges). If you're the only user, this is likely your personal login details.
Forgotten Admin Password: If you’re not sure about the admin password, you can reset it:
- Restart your Mac.
- Hold down Command + R while it restarts to enter Recovery Mode.
- Once in Recovery Mode, select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
- In Terminal, type resetpassword and press Enter.
- Follow the instructions to reset your password.
After entering the correct Mac credentials, the setup process for your HP Ink Tank Wireless 419

I hope this helps.
