Hi @Ardell4,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I’d be happy to help you get your HP DeskJet 2855e All-in-One Printer properly installed on Windows 11. Let’s walk through the setup step-by-step to make sure everything works smoothly.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide for HP DeskJet 2855e

Step 1: Prepare the Printer

  • Unbox the printer and remove all packaging materials.
  • Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.
  • Install the ink cartridges that came with the printer.
  • Load plain paper into the input tray.

Step 2: Enable Wi-Fi Setup Mode

If you're connecting via Wi-Fi:

  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds until the Wireless light starts blinking.
  • This puts the printer into setup mode for 2 hours.

Step 3: Install the HP Smart App

💡 Make sure your PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.

Step 4: Complete Setup and Register

  • You may be prompted to create or sign in to your HP account.
  • This helps with warranty registration and accessing HP+ features (if applicable).

🔧 Troubleshooting Tips

  • If the app shows a blank screen, try running it as administrator or resetting it via: Settings > Apps > HP Smart > Advanced Options > Reset
  • If Wi-Fi setup fails, you can also connect via USB and switch to wireless later.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
