@Sonjacaswell, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your officejet pro 8210 printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 printer is frozen during a software update, you can try performing a factory reset to restore the printer to its default settings and potentially resolve the issue. Follow these steps:

Access the Setup Menu:

  • From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard.
  • Touch the Setup icon.

Restore Factory Defaults:

  • Swipe up on the display and touch Printer Maintenance.
  • Touch Restore.
  • Touch Restore Factory Default.
  • Touch Continue on the confirmation message.
  • Wait until factory defaults are restored and the printer restarts.

Set Up Your Printer:

  • Read and respond to the setup screens to set up the printer.

After completing these steps, your printer should restart and be ready for further setup. If the problem persists, consider updating the printer's firmware to the latest version. You can find detailed instructions and firmware updates on the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
