Hi @furbal

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP DeskJet 4152e (part of the HP DeskJet 4100 series) has a set of physical control buttons on the printer’s control panel that help you perform various functions like scanning, copying, and printing. If you’re trying to figure out what each button does but don't have the manual, here’s a breakdown of the most common buttons and their functions:

Control Panel Buttons on HP DeskJet 4152e

Power Button (Typically a Circle with a Line Through It)

  • Function: Turns the printer on and off.

Wi-Fi Button (Looks like a small antenna or Wi-Fi symbol)

  • Function:
    • This button is used to connect the printer to a Wi-Fi network.
    • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button to start the wireless setup process. The Wi-Fi light will blink to indicate that the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode.

Cancel Button (Typically a red X)

  • Function:
    • Cancels the current print or scan job.
    • If you're in the middle of a print or scan task, press the Cancel button to stop the operation.

Copy Button (Usually a paper icon or a copy symbol)

  • Function:
    • Activates copy mode. You can press it to start copying documents.
    • You may need to use the + or - buttons to adjust the number of copies.

Black Copy Button (Usually with a black square or icon)

  • Function:
    • Starts a black and white copy of your document.
    • Press this button to initiate the copying process using only black ink.

Color Copy Button (Usually with a color icon)

  • Function:
    • Starts a color copy of your document.
    • This button activates the copying process using both black and color ink.

Resume / Resume Printing Button (Usually a triangle symbol or a green button)

  • Function:
    • Press this button to resume a paused print or scan job.
    • It also acts as a confirmation button after you’ve cleared a paper jam or refilled ink.

How to Perform Some Common Functions:

To print a document:

  • Ensure the printer is connected and powered on.
  • Select the document on your computer or mobile device and choose Print from your application.

To scan:

  • Place the document you want to scan on the scanner glass.
  • Press the Scan button on your device’s software (HP Smart app or Windows/Mac software) to initiate the scan.
  • Alternatively, if you have the scan settings configured correctly on your computer, you can press the Scan button from the app or your computer’s scan utility.

To copy:

  • Place the document you want to copy on the scanner glass.
  • Press either the Color Copy or Black Copy button to begin copying.

To connect to Wi-Fi:

  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer to begin the setup.
  • Follow the prompts on the printer’s screen to enter the correct Wi-Fi network and password.

If You Need the Manual:

  • You can download the manual for the HP DeskJet 4152e from the HP website.
    • Go to HP Support.
    • Enter HP DeskJet 4152e into the search bar.
    • Look for the User Manual or Product Specifications under the Manuals tab.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
