Once printer goes into sleep mode (screen black), can't wake it up unless I unplug the printer, plug back in and restart.

How do I fix this problem.

It sounds like your HP Envy 6155e is getting stuck in sleep mode, requiring a full power cycle to wake up. 

 

Here are a few potential fixes you can try:

 

Adjust Energy Settings via Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  • Open a web browser and enter your printer’s IP address (found in SettingsNetwork).
  • Navigate to Power Management and disable Deep Sleep Mode if available.

 

Update or Reinstall Firmware

  • Visit HP’s support page and check for the latest firmware update for your printer.
  • Install the update and restart the printer.

 

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.
