When I print pictures I am only given a limited size to print out pictures. I would like to know how to change this and get the size I need.

If you have not done so, download-save-install the Full Feature Software / Full Driver for the printer
Full Driver / Full Feature Software does not require a sign-in to use the software.
Use this

- Download-and-Save the printer software (Full Feature Software / HP Smart / Easy Start)
- Right-Click on the downloaded package and "Run as Administrator" to start the installation
- Reminder: If using Easy Start, select the Full Driver

About 2/3 of the way through the setup, you will be given the opportunity to select the software - select the "Full Driver" set (as opposed to the basic driver).

If using USB: Connect the cable when instructed to do so (near the last part of the driver installation)
After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.
Full driver provides print and scan functions (even if HP Smart proves to be stubborn).
=======================================================================
Open, view, print the image / photo to be printed using software that lets you set the print size.
For example
Programs / Software like Paint (mspaint) can be used to print photos. Once the basics are understood, the program is fairly easy to use and will might even work in a user restricted environment.
Open your photo / image file in Paint
Open File > Print Preview > Page Setup
Select the paper size you are using (and is already set for the printer)
Select Source (Tray)
Select Orientation of your print on the paper
Your printer does not support borderless - adjust the margins to 0 (zero) and then let the margins reset
OR set all borders to .5 inches
Center the image horizontal and / or vertical (best to use both if you want "even" borders
Select the Scaling
Adjust to "some" percentage of 100 percent
OR
Fit to the paper
OK to save that setup and leave the Page Setup menu
Click to Print when ready
