Small gray slides on paper input tray is stuck on 8.5 x 14 position.  Cannot move to 8.5 x 11 position.  Paper is not secure during printing.  Printer is new today.  Problem exists at time of setup.  Please advise.

Exact location depends on model of printer which you neglected to share. Typically on the right or left side of the front of the tray (closest to you when you are standing in front of the printer, will have a small blue lever you press and then push the tray together to close it down to 8.5x11.
