Product: HP Color LaserJet MFP M281cdw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am unable to access the printer on either the physical control panel on the device, or with the web interface, because it requires a user name and password which I have failed to record -- if I ever had them.

 

I need to connect the printer to a new wifi network (but I also need the credentials for other things that might come up). Is there a way to solve this other than doing a factory reset?

 

The product is registered, and I can supply the S/N if that helps.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What's the Wi-Fi light status on the Printer(Blinking or Steady)? 
  • Could you share the screen where it's asking for the password?
