Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The printer system date of my printer photosmart 6520 has been changed to 2001.01.01. When I scaned using memory card. The date of the file saved on the memory card is set to 2001. Even if I run OOBE reset from the hidden menu I found on the Internet and change it to the latest firmware, the date remains 2001.
How can I change the date and time to the current time?

Hi @spectre_Prt ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've tried some troubleshooting steps already, but the issue persists. Here are a few additional steps you can try to set the date and time on your HP Photosmart 6520:

  • Manual Date and Time Setting: Some printers allow you to set the date and time manually through the printer's settings menu. Try accessing the printer's settings menu either through the control panel or the printer's web interface (if available) and look for an option to set the date and time manually.
  • Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes firmware updates can address issues related to date and time settings. You mentioned updating the firmware, but double-check to make sure you've installed the latest version available for your printer model. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Reset to Factory Defaults: Try performing a factory reset on your printer. This can often resolve software-related issues. Be aware that this will reset all settings on your printer, so you'll need to reconfigure any custom settings afterward.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for your response,
post Firmware Update If the issue remains the same then you can try the reset
