Product: HP Photosmart A616 Compact Photo Printer

Bought this photo printer as new box never opened. I can't get my DELL 0ptpiplex 990 to accept the software. I have disc but it stops at windows 2000. Went to HP support and software will download but not open up to install. I need to print photos from computer. We have Iphone 14 and so no memory cards. HELP!!!! This is driving me crazy!

This is an older printer and the base unit is USB.

There is an optional BlueTooth 2.0 adapter Q6273A and possibly your 14 can connect to it since 5.3 is compatible with 2.0

I have no idea it it will print directly from an app on the iPhone or if you need to save the print as a PDF file and then use HP Smart to print the PDF file.  I do not think it is worth the $12 USD and the BT 2.0 adapter is probably too old for anything else.

 

You need to install HP Smart on the Dell as it has a printer setup.  That should not be a problem.  You may need to use the USB 2 port for the printer if USB 3 does not work.

probably better than vista or xp but try HP Smart first.

 

Out of curiosity, does the printer come with a CD/DVD tray for printing directly on media?
