I am in the process of setting up a new printer---hp smart tank plus 650 series and cannot remove the ornge hardware in order to install print heads.

none of the recommendations helped solve this issue.

I don't want to break my printer before it

even gets started.

Hi @Amanda0813 

You may need to rotate orange handle,

  •  
  • HP Smart Tank 520_orange_hanlde.png
  •  
  •  
  • push down the blue plastic latch,
  • Gently pressing down on the printhead latch to open it
  •      and then pull out to remove from printer.
  • Removing the plastic insert
