Am printing a PDF (custom paper size: 5.5 x 8.5) with a graphic that bleeds to the edge of the paper (no margin). Have set the custom paper size with no issues, and have been able to print a sample at that size. BUT .... I can't get it to print without a white border, even though I created the file without a border/margin.

I tried printing as a PDF and as JPEG: no difference. I tried printing via Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Preview: no difference. In all programs, it displays it with NO border/margin -- the graphic runs to the edge of the paper (full bleed).

I've tried multiple variations in Print settings:

- Page scaling: I tried "None," as well as "Fit to Printable Area"

- Media & Quality pulldown: changing Paper Type didn't make a difference, and while I used to see a Print Borderless with a checkbox, now that I've deleted and reinstalled the printer (at the advice of HP support) that has disappeared (previously, it was there but greyed out, so I couldn't select it).

I have been able to print full bleed/no border, and it's been a while, but I *think* I was able to select "print borderless" which was at first greyed out this time around and is now not even showing up.

Hi,

Border-less printing is supported for select paper sizes only, not for most sizes and not for any custom configured paper size.

Review the print driver when selecting border-less printing, review the paper size setting, most sizes will be marked with an attention mark due to not supporting border-less, or any size supporting border-less will have an additional size with border-less clearly listed:

When I'm at the Page Setup screen, even if I select a page size that is included in the border-less paper sizes provided in the link you sent (5 x 7), when I go to the Print screen selections (>Copies & Pages > Media & Quality), there is no Border/No Border option for me to select from.  Please see attached screen shots. I have only Feed From, Paper Type and Quality Level to choose from.

This should not be available within the print driver options, but with the app options.

What application are you printing from?

Try changing from the Media & Quality drop-down menu to the application name option, there you should see the option to select borderless.

If you don't see any such, try printing from other application such as Safari or Photos and check for any difference there, it is possible the application you're printing from does not support a such.
