Hi @Mars55,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

When a print job disappears from the queue without printing on your HP ENVY 4520 All-In-One Printer in Windows 11, it usually indicates an issue with the printer driver, spooler service, or connectivity. Here are several troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Restart the Print Spooler Service

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type services.msc and press Enter.
  3. In the Services window, scroll down to find the Print Spooler service.
  4. Right-click on Print Spooler and select Restart.
  5. Try printing again to see if the issue is resolved.

Step 2: Clear the Print Queue

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type control printers and press Enter.
  3. Right-click on your HP ENVY 4520 printer and select See what's printing.
  4. In the print queue window, click on Printer and then Cancel All Documents.
  5. Try printing again.

Step 3: Reinstall the Printer Driver

Uninstall the Printer:

  • Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
  • Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP ENVY 4520 printer and click Remove device.

Delete Printer Driver:

  • Press Win + R, type printui.exe /s and press Enter.
  • In the Print Server Properties window, go to the Drivers tab.
  • Select your HP ENVY 4520 driver and click Remove.

Download and Install the Latest Driver:

  • Go to the HP Support website and download the latest driver for the HP ENVY 4520.
  • Install the driver and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Try printing again.

Step 4: Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download and install the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  2. Open the tool and select your HP ENVY 4520 printer.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix any issues.

Step 5: Check Printer Connectivity

  1. Wired Connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
  2. Wireless Connection: Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. You can print a Wireless Network Test report from the printer’s control panel to check the connection status.

Step 6: Update Windows

  1. Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Windows Update and click Check for updates.
  3. Install any available updates and restart your computer.
  4. Try printing again.

Step 7: Set Printer as Default

  1. Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.
  3. Select your HP ENVY 4520 printer and click Set as default.
  4. Try printing again.

Step 8: Check for Firmware Updates

  1. Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
  2. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer.
  3. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue of print jobs disappearing from the queue on your HP ENVY 4520 All-In-One Printer in Windows 11. If the problem persists, consider contacting HP phone support for further assistance.
