Printer does not print every line but skips some texts.  I ran HP print and scan and got an error for the driver.  I  clicked uninstall and nothing happened.

When I went outside print and scan, I couldn't uninstall the driver.  Apparently there was a conflict.  Perhaps I have more than one driver.

I am stuck.  Any suggestions?

@jayjacobus, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Ensure that the copying works fine on the printer. If yes, follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver:

1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2) Select your HP Printer

3) Select Uninstall

4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab

9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10) Select Ok

11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12) Close Devices and Printers.

Now, download and install the full-featured software from here.

Try printing.

I had a new thought and tried printing with the color cartridge in blue ink.  That actually worked leading me to believe that the problem was a bad black ink cartridge all the time.  I will try to resolve that.  Perhaps I need to clean something.

@jayjacobus

To clean the ink cartridges from the control panel

1. Load letter, A4, or legal unused plain white paper into the input tray.

2. Press Setup.

3. Select Tools, and then select Clean Cartridge.

The device prints a page that you can recycle or discard. If copy or print quality still seems poor after you clean the ink cartridges, try cleaning the ink cartridge contacts before replacing the affected ink cartridge.

For more details on cleaning the ink cartridges, refer to the USER GUIDE(pages 104 to 114)
