Hi @midgehola,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP printer's print preview is stuck on "loading" without an error message, it indicates a possible issue with the print settings, printer software, or the application you're printing from. Here's how you can resolve it.
Restart Your Devices
- Restart the printer by turning it off, waiting 30 seconds, and turning it back on.
- Restart your computer or mobile device.
- If you’re printing from an app, close and reopen the app.
Clear the Print Queue
- Go to the Control Panel on your computer (or System Preferences on a Mac).
- Navigate to Devices and Printers (or Printers & Scanners on Mac).
- Select your printer and click Open Queue.
- Cancel any pending jobs.
Check Print Settings
- Open the application you're printing from and navigate to the Print dialog box.
- Ensure that the correct printer is selected.
- Reset the settings to default and try printing a simple document.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Visit HP Customer Support and download the latest drivers for your printer.
- Uninstall the current printer driver/software:
- Windows: Use the Control Panel > Programs and Features to uninstall.
- Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click your printer, and select Remove.
- Reinstall the latest drivers.
Check for Software Conflicts
- Browser Issues: If printing from a browser, clear the cache or try another browser.
- App-Specific Issue: Test print from another app to check if the issue persists.
Reset the Printer
- Perform a factory reset on your HP printer:
- Navigate to Settings on the printer's touchscreen (or control panel).
- Select Restore Defaults or a similar option.
- Reconnect the printer to your network.
Test Print
- Print a test page from the printer settings menu.
- Print a document from your computer or device to check if the issue is resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
