HP OfficeJet Pro 8022 All-in-One Printer
Hello, my printer keeps trying to update the firmware, even though it already seems up to date, it has firmware 2243A.00, the problem is that it tries anyway, at the end message error and the printer remains stuck in update mode...
Has anyone had this problem before?

Hi @JPiret,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the firmware of your HP 8022 printer. While I can provide some general troubleshooting steps, please keep in mind that specific firmware-related issues may require assistance from HP's support or their official resources.

Here are a few steps you can try.

  • Update the firmware: Visit the official HP website and search for the support page for your specific printer model. Look for firmware updates or downloads available for your printer. Follow the provided instructions to download and install the latest firmware version. Firmware updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can help resolve various issues.
  • Reset the printer: Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 1-2 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear temporary glitches and restore the printer's functionality.
  • Check for connectivity: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. Make sure the USB or network cables are securely plugged in. If you are using a wireless connection, check if your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and try restarting both the printer and your router.
  • Factory reset: Performing a factory reset can often help resolve firmware-related issues. However, note that a factory reset will erase all customized settings, so make sure to note them down before proceeding. To perform a factory reset, consult your printer's manual or visit HP's support website for specific instructions for your printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello and thank you for your answer,

I have already tried all that, I theoretically have the latest version of the firmware if I refer to the parameters of the printer,

He still tries to do the update, which she obviously can't do...

So he keeps trying to do an update that he already has....

Thank you again for your help .
