Hi @Jacklyn91344,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printing issues with the HP ENVY 5055 on Windows 11!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Restart Devices: Turn off your printer and laptop, wait for a few minutes, and then turn them back on. This simple step can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
Check Printer Status:: Ensure that the printer is set as the default printer and is online. You can do this by:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Ensure your printer is listed as the default and shows "Ready." If it is offline, right-click and select the option to set it online.
Clear Print Queue: There might be stalled print jobs. Clear the print queue by:
- Going to Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your printer and click Open queue.
- Right-click on each job and select Cancel.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP ENVY 5055 compatible with Windows 11.
- Install the drivers, and if necessary, uninstall existing ones before reinstalling.
Check Connectivity:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your network. If using Wi-Fi, check the network settings on the printer and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network if needed.
- For a USB connection, try using a different port or cable to see if it resolves the issue.
Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software to check if it's preventing your printer from communicating with your laptop.
Perform a Factory Reset on Printer: As a last resort, perform a factory reset on your printer. Refer to your printer's manual on how to do this, as the procedure can vary.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
