Hi @DB1355,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re trying to use your HP LaserJet Pro M1213nf / M1219nf with macOS 15.6.1 (Sequoia).
Here’s what you need to know, and what you can do:

HP has not released a dedicated driver for the M1213nf/M1219nf series for macOS versions newer than macOS 10.15 (Catalina).

On macOS 11 (Big Sur) and later, these printers normally work with either:

Apple’s built-in AirPrint driver, or

HP Easy Start, which detects the printer and installs the best available driver.

Since you’re on macOS 15.6.1 (Sequoia), you will not find a separate driver package (.dmg) to download — you’ll use AirPrint or Easy Start.

How to Install the Printer on macOS 15.6.1

1. Connect the Printer

If available, connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network or to your Mac using a USB cable.

Make sure the printer is powered on and shows Ready.

2. Add the Printer Using System Settings

Open System Settings → Printers & Scanners.

Click the “+” button to add a printer.

Your Mac should automatically detect the printer on the network or via USB.

Under Use, select AirPrint (or “Secure AirPrint”).

Click Add.

macOS 15 includes built-in AirPrint support for most legacy HP LaserJet models.
This will install a basic but stable driver that supports printing.

3. If the Printer Is Not Detected

Download HP Easy Start for Mac.

Launch it, let it search for the printer, and follow the prompts.

Easy Start either installs the proper HP Smart driver or configures AirPrint automatically.

4. Scanning Support

AirPrint usually enables basic scanning as well.

You can scan using the Preview app or Image Capture in macOS.

If scanning does not appear, install HP Easy Start — it may add the correct scan plugin.

I hope this helps.
