HP laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ever since I bought my smart TV, and can access it to my hotspot, it is interferring with my wireless printer.  When I use the printer, my Directv goes out.  Ive had the Directv guys out here, and they said that there is nothing wrong with the equipment.  Plus now, I cannot scan documents to my printer anymore either.  I can print from my phone, and the laptop, but it work work the otherway.  From my printer to the computer.

The following might be relevant:

The only time I have seen anything similar to this (DirecTV drops when the printer is active /added) is when there was a problem in the IP address assignment (on the network router used to manage our network). Both devices (TV and printer) were trying to use the same IP address.  This would result in one device dropping when the other device was detected on the network.

IF that is the case, you would need to make sure that each device is using its own IP address to connect with the network.

The IP address for the printer, if it is lost or changed without the computer being aware of it, might result in the computer and the printer not "talking to each other".  If the computer and the printer cease communicating, Scan to computer will no longer work. If, after you make sure that each device is using its own IP address, the computer and the printer are still not communicating correctly, it might be necessary (or at least easier) to remove the printer software, restart the computer, and then download-save-install the printer software onto the computer.  During the installation, the computer will look for the printer on the network and try to install the software using the network assigned IP address for the printer.
