Hi @MsTammy ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer is no longer connecting to your computer after being removed, here are a few steps you can follow to resolve the issue and reinstall the printer:

1. Check Printer Connection

  • For Wired (USB) Connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected between your printer and computer.
  • For Wireless Connection: Ensure the printer is connected to the same WiFi network as your computer. You can verify the connection by printing a network configuration report from the printer’s control panel.

2. Uninstall Old Drivers and Software Software and Drivers for HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer

  • Go to Settings > Apps on your Windows 11 computer.
  • Look for HP Smart or any previous HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e software and uninstall it completely.
  • After uninstalling, restart your computer.

3. Reinstall the Printer via HP Smart App HP printer setup (HP Smart app)

  • Download the latest version of the HP Smart App from the Microsoft Store.
  • Open the app and sign in with your HP account (or create one if you don't have one).
  • Click Add Printer and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer. The app should automatically detect the printer on your network or via USB.

4. Manually Install Drivers (if HP Smart fails)

  • Go to the HP Support page and download the latest full feature software and drivers for the OfficeJet Pro 8025e.
  • Install the drivers and follow the instructions during setup to reconnect your printer.

5. Ensure Printer is Online

  • After reinstalling the printer, make sure it is set to online:
    1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click on the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e and select See what's printing.
    3. Click Printer at the top of the window and ensure Use Printer Offline is unchecked.

6. Check Windows Settings

  • Open Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Click Add a printer or scanner and allow Windows to search for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e. If it finds it, click Add and complete the installation process.

7. Update Printer Firmware (Optional) Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can do this via the HP Smart App or by accessing your printer’s web interface by typing the printer's IP address in your browser.

After trying these steps, your computer should reconnect with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e, allowing you to print, scan, or copy as needed. If you're still experiencing issues, let me know and we can troubleshoot further.
