i have a printer setup in our office its the hp color laserjet mfp m277dw. when you first start the printer it works fine however if the printer goes into standbye it wont wake-up from standby i have increased the time for it to go into standby but the max is one hour. these are the things i have tried:
firmware update (this bricked the printer and i had to get a new one via HP same model same issue),
change standby time (max i can set it is 1 hour),
put the printer on the LAN instead of Wireless internet,
reduced the network speed to 100 Mbit.
tried a different driver and even a universal pcl6 driver,
tried using an USB cable,
i dont know of any other way to fix the issue even a new printer didn't fix it

Hi,
To get a better understanding of any possible cause, [lease clarify the current firmware version of your printer, from the Setup menu select Reports and then Config Report, within the Hardware Information section the Firmware Datecode will be listed.
What exact behavior do you see with the latest firmware updated?
Is the printer connected to a Fax phone line or not?
Are you using Genuine OEM or replacement ink cartridges?
Please clarify above to get some better understanding of any further steps to try,
Shlomi

i am currently not in the office so i cant tell you the firmware version, (i will be back on teusday) but what i can tell you is that the printer is connected via an network cable not a phoneline and we are using OEM toners, the printer works wel when you first turn it on no problems at all, but as soon as it goes in to stand-bye mode it wont wake from sleep with a press of the button or sending a print to it . the only way is to turn it off and on again.
