HP LaserJet Pro M1132 Multifunction Printer
Other

Hello, I have an HP LaserJet M1132 MFP printer and I need to connect it to my Macbook. When connected via USB using a USB-C adapter, the Mac sees and correctly identifies the printer. But then you need to select software (drivers) to operate the printer; the standard options offered by Apple for HP printers do not work, that is, the printer does not print, and I was unable to interact with it. I downloaded drivers for MacOS from the official HP website (the latest version of the drivers was released in 2022, and apparently was released for MacOS 12 maximum), and when I start installing the drivers, the Mac gives the error "This update requires macOS 15.0 or earlier.", although I have 15.0.1. Please help me get started with the printer

Supposedly, the 5.1.1 version will work but only with USB

Thanks for the reply. As far as I understand, it was the same driver that I downloaded from the hp website (since at least the files have the same name and weight); but nevertheless I downloaded this file from the apple website. When installing, the same error appears "This update requires macOS 15.0 or earlier."

Hi, I have an HP LaserJet Pro M1132 MFP printer and I need to connect it to my Macbook. I don't have a USB port on my Wi-Fi router, so I can't connect the printer to the Internet. Because of this, I'm going to use the printer by connecting it directly to my Mac via a wire. When connected via USB using a USB-C adapter, the Mac sees and correctly identifies the printer. But then you need to select drivers to operate the printer; the standard options offered by Apple for HP printers don't work, that is, the printer doesn't print, and I was unable to interact with it. I downloaded drivers for MacOS from the official HP website - https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-laserjet-pro-m1132-multifunction-printer-series/3965842 (the latest version of the drivers was released in 2022, and apparently was released for MacOS 12 maximum), and when I start installing the drivers, the Mac gives the error "This update requires macOS version 15.0 or earlier.", although I have 15.0.1. After that, I was advised to download the driver from the apple website - https://support.apple.com/en-us/106385, but this software gave the same error; it even seems to me that this is the same driver, since it has the same name and weight. Then I tried to use the printer by creating a virtual machine with Windows 10/11 via parallels, vmware and utm; as it turns out, to use the printer via the machine, you first need to install the driver in the main settings on the mac, otherwise Windows simply doesn't see the printer (although I may be misunderstanding something, but it seems to work exactly like that). Please help me get started with the printer
