@jonathan2025, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand you're having trouble setting up your HP printer. Let's walk through the steps to get you connected and printing smoothly.
Unbox and Prepare the Printer
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Plug in the printer and power it on.
- Install the ink cartridges and load paper if prompted.
Download the HP Smart App
The easiest way to set up your printer is using the HP Smart app:
- Download it from HP Smart.
- Install and open the app on your computer or mobile device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and connect your printer.
3.Connect to Wi-Fi
- Make sure your printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode (usually active for 2 hours after powering on).
- The HP Smart app will guide you to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- If needed, reset the network settings on the printer by pressing and holding the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
Install Drivers (if needed)
If the app doesn't automatically install drivers:
- Visit the HP Printer Support page.
- Enter your printer model and download the latest drivers and software.
Print a Test Page
Once setup is complete, try printing a test page from the HP Smart app or your computer.
