Hi @lillian2001,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer and Instant Ink subscription. It sounds like you've successfully updated your subscription, but the printer is still displaying a message asking you to update it.

This issue can happen when the printer hasn’t yet synchronised with HP’s Instant Ink service. Let’s walk through the steps to resolve this.

1. Make Sure the Printer Is Connected to the Internet

  • On the printer’s control panel:
    • Tap the Wi-Fi or Network icon.
    • Confirm that it is connected to your network and has a strong signal.
  • If it’s offline, reconnect it to Wi-Fi using the Wireless Setup Wizard under the Network settings.

2. Trigger a Manual Sync with HP Instant Ink

  • From the printer’s touchscreen:
    • Go to Setup (gear icon) > HP Instant Ink or Web Services.
    • Tap Update or Check Status (if available).
    • You can also try Disabling and Re-Enabling Web Services:
      • Go to Web Services > Remove Web Services.
      • Then re-enable by going back and selecting Enable Web Services.

Note: Re-enabling Web Services will prompt the printer to sync again with HP’s servers, which should refresh your subscription status.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
