My daughter gave me this HP Tango . She has used it for some time and it had instant ink attached to it. I hooked it up to my computer and it worked one day . Now when I try to configure it to my computer , it can't be found . I tried to start a new instant ink account but the printer isn't recognized . I'm very disappointed with this printer and HP for not much help . I think I'll go get a different brand printer !

Hi @ric_mk,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you're experiencing with your HP Tango printer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the connection issue:

Restart Everything:

  • Turn off your printer, computer, and wireless router.
  • Wait for about a minute before turning them back on, and try to reconnect the printer.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the right wireless network. You can perform a network test print to confirm this on your printer.

Use the HP App:

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Disconnect the printer from your computer.
  • Go to your computer's "Control Panel" and remove the printer from the list of printers.
  • Download the latest printer driver from the HP website specifically for the HP Tango model, and install it.

Check for Updates:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is updated to the latest version. Updates can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Examine Firewall Settings:

  • Make sure that your computer's firewall is not blocking the printer. You might need to allow the software through the firewall or disable it temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.

Instant Ink Account:

  • Verify your Instant Ink registration to see if the printer is still registered under your daughter's account.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
