Hi @Cardinal2013,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how frustrating it is when your HP printer says “No driver detected”, especially when you’ve done everything right and just want it to work. It’s like having a car ready to drive, but no key to start it.

Let’s walk through the steps to resolve this issue and get your printer back in action.

Fix: “No Driver Detected” Error on HP Printers

1. Download the Correct Driver

Visit HP’s official driver page and download the latest firmware &software for your printer: 🔗 Official HP® Support

Make sure to:

  • Select your exact printer model.
  • Choose your operating system correctly (e.g., Windows 10, macOS 15 Tahoe).

2. Use HP Easy Start or HP App

These tools automatically detect your printer and install the correct drivers:

Make sure to run the installer as Administrator and allow all permissions.

3. Run Diagnose & Fix Tool

HP has a built-in tool to repair common printing issues:

  • Open the HP app.
  • Go to “Diagnose & Fix” under settings.
  • Follow the prompts to resolve driver issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

It keeps saying driver unavailable. Reset several times. uninstalled and reinstalled. It has  very little warranty left.
