I install the printheads (I hear the click).  As I close the blue cover, the printheads fall out.

Hi,

Thank you for the response.

Try these steps:

Ensure Proper Alignment:

  • When you insert the printheads, make sure they are properly aligned and seated in their respective slots. The printhead should click into place firmly.

Inspect for Any Obstructions:

  • Check the printhead slots and surrounding areas for any obstructions or debris that might prevent the printheads from seating correctly.

Firmly Secure the Printhead Cover:

  • After inserting the printheads, ensure the blue latch or printhead cover is fully closed and secured. Any partially closed latch can cause the printheads to dislodge.

Validate Printhead Integrity:

  • Inspect the printheads for any physical damage or incorrect installation. Ensure the electric contacts are clean and face inward.

Press the Blue Latch:

  • Ensure you press the blue latch firmly until it locks the printheads in place. Sometimes, a gentle additional press might be necessary to ensure it clicks and locks correctly.

Recheck Installation Instructions:

  • Refer to the printer's setup guide to ensure you’re following the recommended procedures for installing the printheads. Sometimes, the correct order and method are crucial for successful installation.

I hope this helps.
