  • how do I use HP Smart app to print envelopes?

As you know, HP Smart is not the ideal tool to print envelopes.

The application primarily works with Photo / Image files and with PDF document files.

That said, the task can be completed using HP Smart and a supported printer model, a supported Operating System / version, supported paper size and type selected in the Printer using the Printer Control Panel or the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Reminder:

HP Smart mobile requires that the Paper Size / Type be adjusted before the content is opened to be printed.

Load the envelopes into the printer according to the instructions in your printer user manual.

Next,

Alert the printer to the paper size / type - Tray and Paper

Example - Tray and Paper

Next,

Open HP Smart > Adjust the settings > Print

Example - HP Smart - Windows - Simple PDF Print > Print #10 Envelope

Note:

This might be easier using a photo file in the shape and size of the envelope you want to print.

At least that way, AND as supported in your printer, you might be able to take advantage of smaller margins along the edges.
