Hi @coomar1217,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
Here are the steps to troubleshoot your HP DeskJet 2622 printer that is printing grid lines but no text:
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure both the black and color ink cartridges have sufficient ink.
- Replace any low or empty cartridges.
Clean Printhead:
- Use the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app to clean the printhead.
- Navigate to Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
- Remove any jammed paper carefully.
Align the Printer:
- Align the print cartridges to ensure the best print quality.
- This option can usually be found in the printer’s settings menu or via the HP Smart app.
Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page to check if the printer is able to print correctly.
- If the test page prints properly, the issue might be with the document or file being printed.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your HP DeskJet 2622.
- Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check Print Settings:
- Ensure the print settings in your computer are correctly configured.
- Verify you are printing to the correct printer and that the paper size and type settings match the paper in the tray.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Make sure your printer firmware is up to date.
- Check for updates via the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app.
If the issue persists, contact HP phone Support for further assistance, as there may be a hardware issue.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
