all documents, pdf, web pages are printing it as if paper source is business letter.  I’ve looked at settings and they are shown as plain paper .

Check Printer Settings:

  • Open the Control Panel on your computer.
  • Navigate to Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer and select Printing preferences.
  • Ensure that the paper size is set to Letter in all sections, including the paper source and the layout options.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and enter your printer model to find the latest drivers.
  • Download and install these drivers to ensure your system is fully updated.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about a minute, then reconnect and power it on to reset any temporary settings.

Test Different Paper Trays:

  • If your model supports multiple paper trays, ensure the correct tray is selected for Letter paper and check for any specific tray settings needing adjustment.
