When printing a document ,after saving a page from the internet as a pdf file, the printer insists on printing in landscape in spite of the standard setting of portrait.

Does this happen because it is a pdf document?

I have changed the setting to portrait/landscape suited to the document and that seems to work for a Word document.

@RodeDraak

By default, it will print the layout from pdf file. Using pdf reader (Adobe reader) you can over the layout as shown

then Print.

Thanks for the answer, but I have already done as you suggested.
The document in pdf came in portrait,the setting for print was portrait, but the document printed in landscape.

After that I changed the printinstruction to portrait (again), but with the same result.
I have now changed the setting to portrait/landscape following the document - see what happens.

Is it possible for a pdf to have a setting for landscape, although on opening it shows up as portrait?

I would have to ask the sender, if a mistake has been made on their part.
