Follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

 

Restart Printer and Computer

Restart Your Printer:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Restart Your Computer:

  • Restart your Windows 10 computer to refresh system processes.

Cancel Pending Updates

  • Cancel any ongoing updates for the printer that might be causing the conflict:
    • On your Windows 10 PC, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for pending updates related to your printer.

Check Printer Status

  • Ensure there are no active firmware updates or tasks on the printer's control panel. Allow any ongoing process to complete before attempting to update again.

Remove and Reinstall Printer

Remove the Printer:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP OfficeJet 8015 printer and click Remove device.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • Click on Add a printer or scanner.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer back.

Use HP Smart App

  • Install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store:
    • Use the app to manage your printer and configure connectivity settings.

Update Printer Firmware

Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

 

Check for Background Processes

  • Make sure no other computers or devices are trying to update or manage the printer simultaneously.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility from HP Support. This tool can automatically diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.

Verify Network Connectivity

  • Ensure your printer and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. A stable network connection is essential.
