For some printers, I see that the answer is "printer no longer supported".

Is that the case here?

If so, the error message needs adjusting.
If not, I'd like to enable it, to make sure any applicable firmware updates arrive.

Suggestions?

Hi @ericTreeLight,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP Color LaserJet Pro M252dw is a model that is generally supported, but like many printers, it might encounter issues if the firmware is outdated or if there are connectivity problems. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the "Internal Processing Error" related to connecting to web services.

Check Firmware Version:

  • Visit the HP support website and look up your printer model to check for any available firmware updates.
  • If an update is available, download and install it following the instructions provided.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Go to the printer's control panel.
  • Navigate to the network settings and select the option to reset or restore network settings to default.
  • Reconnect the printer to your network and try accessing web services again.

Clear Printer Cache:

  • Sometimes, clearing the printer’s internal cache can help resolve issues.
  • Power off the printer, unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and power it on.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network, either via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
  • Test the network connection by printing a network configuration page from the printer's control panel.

Enable Web Services:

  • Make sure that web services are enabled on the printer. This can often be found in the printer's settings menu under "Web Services" or "ePrint."
  • Follow any prompts to activate web services.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
