My HP Officejet Pro 9018 (9010 series), does not recognize the paper tray is loaded with paper. I loaded paper in the tray, and the printer display keeps saying "paper tray is empty, please fill the tray with paper".

Make sure that you have set the paper size and paper type settings from the control panel of the printer to match the media you have loaded. If you have plain letter loaded, you need to set the printer that way. This type of error is commonly generated when the paper you have configured on the printer do not match the paper the print job is asking for.  Try not to set the try to any type and size as this often causes issue.
