macOS 10.15 Catalina

Using an HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer - E710n; I am receiving "stopped - filter failed" using macos 10.15.  I have tried deleting and re-adding the printer and updating drivers, to no avail.  I need this operational quickly and need help please.  Thanks.

To be able to assist you better, I'd like to know the following-

  • How is the printer connected to the computer?
  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Did you make any changes to the computer or the printer?

Meanwhile, ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Try printing.
