hello. can i receive a fax with 5100 smart tank printer?

This printer does not have any built-in fax hardware.

The printer cannot send or receive faxes.

HP Mobile Fax - the never ending trial software -

At this writing, the HP Mobile Fax service does not receive faxes - the app can only send faxes.

You'll need a full service electronic fax send / receive service --

Be careful - make sure any service you purchase / subscribe / use respects your privacy

OR

You'll need a printer that includes a built-in fax and probably a hard wired landline phone service.
