Hi @Bernadette10,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here are the steps to replace an empty ink cartridge on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e printer:

Steps to Replace the Ink Cartridge:

Prepare the Replacement Cartridge:

  • Make sure you have a new, genuine HP ink cartridge ready for installation.

Turn On the Printer:

  • Make sure the printer is turned on. If it is off, press the power button to turn it on.

Open the Printer's Access Door:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door. This will allow the cartridge carriage to move to the center of the printer for easy access.

Wait for the Carriage to Stop Moving:

  • Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before proceeding. Do not proceed while the carriage is still moving.

Remove the Empty Cartridge:

  • Press down on the empty ink cartridge to release it, then pull it out of its slot.

Unpack the New Cartridge:

  • Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging. Be careful not to touch the gold-colored contacts or nozzles to avoid any damage or clogs.

Insert the New Cartridge:

  • Hold the new cartridge by its sides with the nozzles toward the printer. Slide the new cartridge into the empty slot at a slight upward angle, and then gently push it until it clicks into place.
  • Make sure to insert the color cartridge into the slot with the corresponding color, and the black cartridge into the black slot.

Close the Printer's Access Door:

  • Close the ink cartridge access door.

Align the Printer (if prompted):

  • Your printer may prompt you to align the ink cartridges. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process for optimal print quality.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
