My printer is stuck on a previous wifi provider and wont budge even when I load new drivers, I would like to do a factory reset to see if that might work

Hi,

Please let us know your printer model, in order to suggest any possible steps to try.

You should not reset the printer, but just its wireless configuration and then reconfigure it.

Try following 'Connect a printer that does not have a touchscreen control panel > Step 2: Connect the printer with the HP Smart app below, if that fails to work with an older model as the 2540 printer, reinstall the HP Software or try Step 3 instead:

To reset your printer's WiFi, Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons until the Wireless and Power lights blink.

Restart the printer and make sure the Wi-Fi light blinks, else press the wireless button so it should start blinking.

Thanks for your interest but through the HP web site and following there advice I have managed reset the wi-fi connection to my present provider.   I don't know why I didn't think to do this four years ago.
