How do you reverse the firmware of the HP M281fdw.  Since they have done an update, it has become a brick.

Hello, 

I'd suggest you to try the below steps.. 


1) Power off the printer
2) turn off the wireless router.
3) wait for 40 seconds and turn on the printer and then the Wireless Router.
4) follow the below steps to disable IPv6 & DHCP6 on the Printer, use a web browser to navigate to the IP Address of the Printer. Once there, click on the networking tab, choose Networking Settings. There you will see a checkbox that says "IPv6". Uncheck that box and click apply.

5) Now power on the wireless router .

search for firmware date 20200612 for the MFP 281 fdw follow program exe prompts - mine updated (downgraded actually) even though it was in a continuous boot loop
