The solution could not troubleshoot the printer situation. Some type of block prevented the

the link to activate. Hp and other printer manufacturers abide by a printer  software protocol.

Any suggestions to this hp printer situation. Thanks for the input.

The software link was the same as the previous. The scanner program was installed, " The HP imaging  device was not found. Thanks, the printing software works and can use a camera image for scanner. The product did have

some previous difficulties, but over five plus years was worth the purchase.
