HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw

I recently updated my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw firmware with date code 20201021 and it is in a loop with the 79 error code.  Is there a solution for this or is it HP forcing obsolescence with its products.  i pad a lot for this printer and its only 1 1/2 years owned.  is there a way/procud to downgrade or revert to the original firmware

Let us try to reset the printer to its factory settings.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Service error message 79 keeps looping after updating firmware on November 14.  Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281dcw Serial number [Private information removed]

We will have to downgrade the printer firmware to resolve this issue.

 

I have sent you a private message with a set of instructions to perform a reset. Kindly check the same, this might help you to resolve this issue. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
