If you type in the folder location into file explorer does the folder come up? Most common issue is lack of proper authorization credentials.  Make sure that when you are entering the credentials that you include a valid user name and password. Most HP printers also have a field for domain name. If you are not on a domain network, you need to enter the name of the workstation where the user is located.  To find the name of your workstation, on your PC, go to settings>windows settings>about.

How can I tell if I am on a domain network? If not, how do I find the workstation name?

HP Recommended

If you have to ask, you likely are not on a domain. The path to find the system name is in my post, here is what you will see when you go to settings>windows settings>about

I don't have the line that says full device name

I found the full name and work group.  Having difficulty entering the network path.

To clarify my question--where do I find the network path for the folder that I set up?

HP Recommended

File manager does find the file but I am still getting an error message saying that the network path is invalid.

To find the path, I right-clicked the folder on the desktop, clicked on properties, and used the path shown as "Location".

Is there something different that I should be doing?
